We write HACCP plans and food safety plans that hold up in an audit, and we help your team run them. Hazard analysis, validation, training and audit prep for food manufacturers, co-packers and ingredient suppliers across the US.

Our Food Safety Consulting Services

HACCP plan writing and reviewWe build your HACCP plan on the seven principles: hazard analysis, critical control points, critical limits, monitoring, corrective actions, verification and record-keeping. If you have a plan already, we review it against your current process and fix what has drifted.
Hazard analysis and validationWe document the reasoning behind each hazard decision and support critical limits with published guidance or validation studies, which is what auditors ask to see.
FSMA preventive controls and food safety plansMost FDA-registered food facilities need a written food safety plan under 21 CFR Part 117, prepared or overseen by a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI). We write the plan and can act as your PCQI while your team gets trained. We also help with FSMA 204 food traceability records.
Seafood, juice, meat and poultry HACCPSeafood (21 CFR 123), juice (21 CFR 120) and USDA-inspected meat and poultry (9 CFR 417) each have their own mandatory HACCP rules. We work to the one that applies to you.
GFSI and customer audit preparationSQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000 and IFS all require a HACCP-based food safety system. We run a mock audit against your chosen scheme and help you close findings before the real one.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

A HACCP consultant helps food businesses identify food safety hazards, set up controls at the right points in the process, and write and maintain the HACCP plan and records that regulators and auditors review.

It is mandatory for seafood, juice, and USDA-inspected meat and poultry. Most other FDA-registered food facilities must have a food safety plan under FSMA’s preventive controls rule, which is built on the same principles. Most retailer and GFSI audits also require a HACCP-based system.

There is no single government HACCP certificate in the US. Companies usually show HACCP compliance through regulatory inspections, a third-party HACCP or GFSI certification, and staff training certificates. We help you prepare for whichever one your customers ask for.

It depends on the number of products and lines and which certification you choose. Our consulting fee is fixed after a free review call; certification fees are paid to the certification body separately.

A few weeks for a simple single-product plan. Several months for a multi-line plant preparing for GFSI certification.
